HERE’S WHAT EMPLOYEES, HR PROFESSIONALS, AND BUSINESS OWNERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ME

Hope Valentine

Emergency Veterinarian & Holistic Medicine Expert

I was on leave to care for my mom and due to return to work shortly. I was backed into a corner and the HR department was slow, inexperienced, and sadly clueless.

Brenda gave me the knowledge and strength to stand on my own two feet and communicate what I needed to say—to not only defend myself—but to make real change possible in the company.

In the same day I had a 15 min call with her— I ended up writing a 6-page summary and navigated 2 conversations with HR like a pro. I ended up sending the summary and my cogent request to the CEO of the company— who immediately within 12 hours gave me everything I asked for and released me from the contract.

I transformed who I was from scared and doomed to badass and empowered by taking the coaching and the result was nothing short of a miracle in the result and the speed with which it all turned around.

I had always said every moment is a chance to turn it all around but had in this area of my life never really believed it was possible. I have never been scared again.

Contracts also went from boring and a convoluted trap in legalize where my hands would shake and I never felt good after signing just worried or numbed out and now contracts are opportunities for integrity and clarity and I sign them with joy by the end of the revisions and requests for reworking I never would have done before.

I am delighted to provide this professional testimonial for Brenda McGregor, with whom I had the privilege of working alongside for over three decades. Brenda consistently demonstrated exceptional expertise in the fields of Human Resources and Risk Management and her contributions to our organization were invaluable.

In the realm of Human Resources, Brenda exhibited exemplary leadership and HR management skills. Her dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture, enhancing employee engagement, and implementing HR best practices greatly benefited our organization.

Brenda's results with talent acquisition, development, and retention contributed significantly to our team's growth and success. Specifically, the company was able to initiate a profitable self-funded health insurance business platform that was not only beneficial to team members but also valuable to our clients in third party hotel management. Through her efforts we were able to represent our health insurance program as a positive differentiator, creating an opportunity to further grow our contract hospitality services.

As a quick and innovative learner, Brenda showed a remarkable ability to assess, analyze, and mitigate risks effectively. Her keen insight into identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities to our organization was instrumental in safeguarding our operations and assets. Brenda's meticulous attention to detail, combined with a strategic mindset, allowed us to proactively address risks before they escalated into major issues.

What truly set Brenda apart was her ability to integrate HR strategies and risk management seamlessly. She developed innovative policies and procedures that not only enhanced employee well-being but also aligned with our risk mitigation objectives. This holistic approach provided our Board of Directors the faith to create our own worker's compensation program, yet another positive HR program for both Chesapeake Hospitality owners and their clients.

In addition to her technical expertise, Brenda was a natural leader and collaborator. She consistently exhibited excellent communication skills, making complex concepts accessible to all levels of the organization. Her commitment to teamwork and willingness to mentor and support colleagues further exemplified her dedication to our organization's success.

I wholeheartedly recommend Brenda McGregor to anyone seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional with expertise in every aspect of Human Resources and risk management. Matt Weil

Restaurant Director

I had the good fortune to work with Brenda McGregor to guide me in human resource issues from 2006 to 2021.

As a manager of several restaurants, I was running staffs at 8 locations totaling about 100 people. During our time working together, I learned from Brenda the importance of being detail oriented in the hiring process, termination process, and setting staff expectations. I was especially grateful for Brenda’s talent in handling more complex situations like staff substance abuse and family emergencies. Brenda knows that each situation requires compassion along with steps that need to be taken to protect our business. I relied on her guidance many times to ensure we protected the rights of staff members while making sure the company avoids any legal liabilities that may occur while providing support whenever possible.

Our businesses thrived with Brenda McGregor leading our team to make our human resource processes flawless, create the best working environment for our staff(s), and navigate complexed situations with confidence.

Brenda and I worked together for nearly 20 years. During that time, Brenda became my go-to resource for working with key leaders both at the corporate and field level when there were gaps in performance.

Brenda McGregor was my answer! I cannot sing her praises enough. I love what I do again. Goals have been exceeded as a by product of our weekly meetings. Staff likes me again and my husband too!
